Hacienda La Encantada is proud to introduce the most elegant saddle currently made in Peru. The Basic foundation of this saddle is a hand crafted wood and rawhide saddle tree which has been covered with top grain leather. The hand tooled leather is exquisitely embossed in a variety of traditional patterns and the underside of the carona and skirts are lined with a double stitched brushed leather. The seat of the saddle is made of a fine quilted and padded suede leather for added comfort. The front of the pommel and back of the cantle are completely covered with engraved metal plates that enhances the hand tooled leather. The saddle includes a carona and guarnicion matching the design of the saddle, as well as a saddle blanket and wooden stirrups. The stirrups are hand carved, and made of heavily tooled hard wood with adorned engraved metal points, bell and ring. As with all our classic lines of saddles, we have introduced the innovation of attaching a band of brushed leather to the underside of this saddle to prevent it from slipping. This personalized saddle is truly the most elaborate example of Peruvian craftsmanship and is made by special order.
